New York Mayor Eric Adams did not mince his words about his disapproval of what he called the large number of “nasty” Gen Z voters supporting Zhoran Mamdani, the democratic socialist candidate leading the race for NYC mayor.

He’s got such low numbers that it looks like the only people left supporting him are churchgoing old ladies. This would play to that crowd.

I’m Gen Z, and Mamdani is the better candidate. I don’t live in NYC.

In typical Democratic fashion, the Democrats blame the voters for not “Voting Blue No Matter Who™” rather that adopting progressive, popular policies.

    Vote these skeletons out

You should tell this too maga first because maga is making sure to make not voting for Democrats as painful as possible. I fucking hate both parties but even I realize now is not the time to give the country over to the maga shitlords. The only way we are going to get them out is if they also agree to not vote for those dirtbags.

This is the reverse prisoners dilemma they put the nation in, they do this intentionally so that we can’t vote third party and actually pass any legislation that benefits the working class or liberty or anything like that.

It should be etched in law that it’s prohibited to call the voters of your rival anything bad as it only serves to cause a division in the country.

I like the idea, but the First Amendment exists so idiots can say dumb things like this out in the open and we can all point and laugh.

      Sunlight is the best disinfectant.

I’d curtail the crap out of that first amendment

If you have a following,v you don’t get to say whatever bull crap. You spread something that is known to be a lie, go to jail

I know the implications, but fix those them instead. Just letting people continuously get away with lying hasn’t helped anyone since forever

“You know, to just be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. Right?” Clinton said. “The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic—you name it. And unfortunately there are people like that. And he has lifted them up.”

Nearly 3 million more people voted for her than Trump. Ithe hard to say any 1 thing was the reason. It’s just as easy to say there was a percentage of the population that wouldn’t vote for a woman and that flipped enough purple states at the time.

Yeah, they hate what you turned it into. They want affordable living and politicians and the rich have no desire to reduce any of their massive salaries to help Americans.

We are all just cattle to them. So it’s surprising to them when the cattle get tired of the same pen and break out.

I’m pretty sure the old always say the young hate the country.

“Get off my lawn!” “Those youths with their [insert sexual trend here] are destroying the country.” “Help, I’ve fallen and I can’t get up!” “Those young people hate the country!” “It’s Patrick, he just got life insurance.”

because “we’re better than republicans” was good enough for 2-3 prior generations but the latest arent having it. the (lack of) response to trump and co. and Israel’s genocide makes it very hard to keep up the illusion that both sides arent haven’t been the same for a long time (Cheney endorsement at DNC last year made that more obvious than ever, i hope…).

neolibs and the GOP have been ratfucking this country clean without stopping a beat for the last…30 years (and a lot longer than that, neolibs just made it less sustainable) and they still think they can go back to that when trump dies

if the DNC losed NYC, they can lose anywhere…it’s a message noone should be able to ignore

As someone who grew up in a conservative environment and a Gen Z myself, I think of it like this: When I was old enough to vote, I was just beginning to understand what the democratic side advocated and stood for - in short, human rights just made sense as apposed to recycling the same ideas the conservatives have had. Fast forward a few years and paying closer attention to politics because it’s hard to look away when it affects the very fabric of your life - I now understand the democratic side is a big pond. You have the old liberals who like Harris and Biden, and are okay with a conservative but slightly forward touch to things, and then you have the younger liberals who lean heavily socialist and environmentally cautious. We are ones who would absolutely vote for the Green Party in California if we had faith they would actually win against the billionaire influence. We want trains, clean energy, free healthcare, livable wages. We do NOT want our resources wasted on wars and lining the pockets of the rich while the general environment slowly or not so slowly kills us. We do not want for profit prisons, hospitals, or pharmacies. In short- Gen Z liberals are the true future of America if we don’t all die before then
