I will guess that many of you don’t like Mike Pence, but he has said a few things which I think are good:

  • He has said Trump’s tariffs will probably harm Americans
  • He has criticised Trump for not backing Ukraine
  • He seems to want to respect Canada’s sovereignty, describing Canada as “a great ally, whose soldiers have fought and died alongside Americans in every war since world war one”

Fucking Bizarro world that Pence looks like a very vaguely tolerable Republican candidate now.

Amazing how all these opinions come out when he no longer has any power to act on them.

He was happy sucking Trump’s chode until he realized Trump was never going to pass him the torch. He burns all his allies, just like Giuliani. JD Vance is in for it once Trump is done with him.

Now there’s a name I haven’t heard in a while. I somehow managed to forget all about him.

There’s nothing like an angry mob building a makeshift guillotine while chanting they want to hang you to make you change your viewpoint…

Yup. This has been common among politicians for the past 10 years.

And the only takeaway should be that violence is the only consequence these fuckers fear, and is a viable strategy currently only deployed by one side of the political spectrum.

        Fuck the high road.

Meh, I think he’s views are shit, but I still view him as the only reason the U.S. remained a Republic till 2025. If we was just a bootlicker he would have submitted the fake electors and the insurrection attempt would have been a success. Many people seem to think the insurrection attempt was the people breaking in, they were just the distraction.

He marched in lockstep with the orange fascist for years, just because he did his constitutional duty at the veey end doesn’t make him any kind of hero, he did what he was legally obligated to do. His legitimizing the fascist is a big part of what led up to a coup attempt, he’s culpable, nothing more.

Not a hero, however standing up to a literal Lynch-mob (remember the gallows they set up) to follow the law and ensure democracy continued is a at least commendable.

I mean, he’s a social conservative, which I’m not, but I think that he’d have been a pretty normal President, in contrast to Trump.

He was trying desperately to be R poster boy when he was Indiana governor to the point where the Indiana GOP told him to calm the fuck down. He wouldn’t have been as bad as Trump was but he still would have been awful.

He’s a hardcore Christian nutcase. How quickly do you forget what was unacceptable outside of comparison with Trump.

The one thing I will always respect him for is his refusal of Trump’s attempted coup on Jan 6th, 2021.
He actually stuck with democracy by declining to throw out electoral votes for Joe Biden, while outside the insurrectionists were beating down the doors to the Capitol.

Vps aren’t usually known for anything unless the party wants to push them for a future run. Sometimes they’re thrown something the president doesn’t want to do because they know it’s never going to end well, e.g. Kamala being tossed the border, but mostly the role of the VP is to be seen and not heard.
