i never played a atari game but i always wanted to get into the console a bit, any recommendations?
Cosmic Ark. Blasting the asteroids tests your reaction speed, then you reach a planet where you carefully beam animals up into your shuttlecraft and race back to the saucer. Repeat to populate your Ark with a high score.

I had never played any Atari games until a few years ago. This one became an instant favorite the moment I played it.
Can’t go wrong with Activision titles, otherwise enjoy the oddness. There’s a lot to enjoy 🙂
Star Raiders and Berserk are pretty good. Star Raiders was way ahead of it’s time.

I’ve wanted that one and there was a good one for the NES too. I was just thinking about how I miss the posters we used to get in boxes and magazine.

Get river raid next. River raid is absolutely fantastic and goes well with chopper command.
