Stay on the school-to-work permit route for Sweden, they’ve changed things regarding asylum seekers just this year. I was considering Sweden but asylum seems very easy to retroactively revoke now. It shook my faith because I would have sought asylum and I don’t want to risk even a small chance of returning to the U.S. I don’t have a school or work connection but you do!! c: Best of luck on your travels and school. https://www.migrationsverket.se/nyheter/news-archive/2025-04-01-from-1-april-the-possibility-of-changing-tracks-will-end.html
Also worth looking into marriage immigration laws in case you happen to meet someone (either romantically or just trust them enough to join a marriage of convenience)
That’s definitely in the back of my mind. Knowing myself, I’d have a better chance with school/work route than the marriage one. I’m out of the scope of being a common romance partner so it would take luck and considerable effort xD It’s easier to work and study. Thank you for your comment!
