“They’re dismantling our country. They’re looting our government. And they think we’ll just watch.”
“They’re dismantling our country. They’re looting our government. And they think we’ll just watch.”
It’s a crossed out English letter O.
It’s the same in Danish. It’s to indicate that it’s not an O /s
So it really just says FF?
No, it’s more like it’s utilizing the O to provide an emphatic doubling down on the concept of “No,” “Hands Off,” “Don’t do what you are doing,” and so on. It’s not a particularly skillful demonstration of graphic design ability or grammar.
🚫 has the line left to right within the ring. And is a symbol that universally means no.
That’s the standard version. The slash going the other way is nonstandard, but still common. Example: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Everbilt-10-in-x-14-in-Aluminum-No-Smoking-Sign-31054/304304482
This, especially, is a stylistic choice. Perhaps it’s also based on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slashed_zero, or one of the other similar symbols: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ø_(disambiguation)
