It’s a legally distinct but de facto integrated part of the Israeli government. Anyone claiming otherwise is ignorant, delusional, or dishonest.

I would also point out that the 3 million members of AIPAC are not donating to Israel, they are donating to AIPAC.
Unless a lobby group has been sanctioned, all Americans can donate to whatever PAC they see fit. That’s called the first amendment.
I never said they couldn’t donate to it. That doesn’t make it any more American.
The laws of the US state that money is speech and Americans are allowed to use their speech to support political causes.
But if the argument is that 3 million American Jews aren’t American enough, I am going to hold your feet to the fire on that.
