Rep. Haley Stevens (D-Mich.) filed articles of impeachment against Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Wednesday, accusing him of abusing the powers of his office and undermining public health, putting Americans’ lives at risk.

He “has got to go,” Stevens said in a video announcing the impeachment articles. In an accompanying press statement, she said Kennedy, who rose to prominence as an ardent anti-vaccine activist, “has turned his back on science, on public health, and on the American people—spreading conspiracies and lies, driving up costs, and putting lives at risk.” She called him the “biggest self-created threat to our health and safety.”

It is very unlikely that an impeachment push will gain traction in the Republican-controlled Congress. No other Democratic lawmakers are backing the articles.

On one hand yes, on the other—at least someone is trying to impeach him… unlike Trump.

I dunno, he’s only in post because of a deal trump made to get him out of the presidential race.

Do republican congress people actually like him? or do they see him as something they had to do to get into power.

Now they are in power are they likely to stick their necks out for ol’ bobby brainworms?

He’s not exactly doing much to make them look good. He’s a constant source of controversy

They don’t have to stick their necks out. This going nowhere is the default thing that will happen if they simply do nothing. Which they will. Their supporters won’t change over them not supporting RFKs impeachment.

Filed by a Democrat so DOA in the current House. Flip it in '26 and we’ll talk.

Flip the House AND Senate and it might actually happen.

Call me a nihilist whatever, but nothing matters until the mid-terms because once it’s clear the elections are rigged, then shits going to get a little hotter for everyone.

Isn’t he enriching himself? I heard a lot of his income is from suing vaccine companies and now that he has his position, he can point to their “findings” about autism etc and say “there’s the proof!”

I pray to God and the baby Jesus that I don’t believe in that he will be stripped of power and removed for any office that allows him to make decisions on policy.

Or any decisions. At all… Even outside the office. Him mom should lay out his clothing for the day so he doesn’t have to decide anything.

In any other sane rational country, people like RFK and Laura Loomer would be under psychiatric observation in a hospital, but in the US they are made super rich and given unlimited power. Very very strange country.

I thought the Kennedys had learned about the negative side effects from lobotomies after Rosemary. Then this guy popped up.

I currently live in a Republican district. I’d like to call my representative to have her support this, but I won’t. Not only am I not a big donor, which means I can be safely ignored, but my representative is in the cult of Republican-ism. So, ontop of her ignoring me because I am not a big donor, but she will ignore me because Republicans are worshipping at the golden statue of tRump.

The one thing that many people get wrong is that they act like RFK jr. is someone who is just ‘wrong’ on a lot of issues, when in reality he knows exactly what he is doing. While he is a genuinely insane and extremely nasty person, his anti-vaccine attitude is fuelled entirely by grift. He doesn’t believe in any of it. He is vaccinated and so are all of his children. His destruction of the medical establishment is getting so fucking bad that even some MAGA assholes, like Scott Adams (the Dilbert artist) are begging him to stop, since he is preventing life saving medication that they need to survive.
