The OP6 is already so big that it’s quite the brick with a case. I’m hoping that the people working at Fairphone can get PostmarketOS running reasonably well on their devices considering PostmarketOS aligns pretty well with their goals.
I’m pretty sure my bank’s android app is just webview considering it has a cookie banner when starting it and it looks almost identical to the actual bank website. The biggest feature of the bank app is for 2FA, but it’s not like it’s much more convenient than SMS and they really should be supporting FIDO2 and TOTP codes for actually secure 2FA.
Look to Minecraft servers like Hypixel for how anticheat should be done. You can completely hack your client, but your every movement is scrutinized by the server and only the data you need is received. This cripples what cheating can allow you to do without using client side anticheat and still enabling mods that improve quality of life.
Actually, apparently the pixel3a now has both front and rear camera support, though still in the very early stages. I also like how the pixel3a has a plastic back instead of the glass on the OP6 so it does not shatter if you drop it.
Not much has changed since then. I use Phosh since as beautiful as gnome mobile is, it lacks some functionality.
Yes, it pure linux and is based on Alpine linux often used in Docker Containers. Many supported devices run an upstream kernel instead of the old manufacturer one that comes with android. Android apps can work though waydroid, though I have not used apps that require google play services, though I did get that working on my laptoo.
eyo, another oneplus 6 user! It’s nice having a headphone jack on a phone. I run PostmarketOS on mine for virtually infinite software updates.
Polievre wants to defund the CBC, build more oil pipelines and continue the expansion of city suburbs. No way I’d vote for that guy. The only good thing I’ve seen him say is that there should be more competition in the telecommunications market, but it does not take much effort to point out a problem.
There were 2 viable switch emulators, Yuzu and Ryijinx. Nintendo has managed to stop development of both. Yes, you can still get them from other sources, but the original team that worked on the software is now fractured and threatened. Too bad for Nintendo that both Ryujinx and Yuzu were already good enough to play most games with minor issues on reasonable hardware.
Especially if you’re like me and want to be able to boot the SSD on any conputer in case of failure.
It’s a meta search engine: it aggregates results from multiple sources for your search query. So yes, it queries other search engines.
Just btw, your requirements for the website would work just fine on a static site. A static site just means the server only serves the website and nothing else. No DBs or anything like that.
I think part of the push is just from Nvidia to try and get vendor lock-in, like they have with CUDA. Many games that use raytracing will only work on “RTX” cards which are only sold by Nvidia. Raytracing also has the benefit of increasing demand for upscaling, like DLSS, which further increases vendor lock-in.
Also, most devs are going to be using some sort of game engine where the hard parts of rasterization are already taken care of, like with Lumen in Unreal Engine 5.
Hell yeah, new Gnome version.
I think it depends. Even if I knew a bit about the subject, I would definitely want to hire someone who actually knows what they are doing for something like a gas pipe, where a mistake could be deadly. But people should know things like replacing a light switch, replacing a thermostat and pumping up a car tire.
Honestly, I find the most frustrating part about file management on android is how terrible the AOSP file manager and most other files managers are. They simply do not make sense. For some reason, someone thought it would be a good idea to make the big button called “pictures” show you images regardless of where they are located instead of being a shortcut to the “pictures” directory.
Libredirect is awesome.
Isn’t FUTO an organization that named their keyboard application after themselves?
Cell jammers for everyone!
