  • Love this comments section in denial because they refused to read past the title in both the post and article that clearly states most Palestinians don’t expect a difference.

The Palestinians in the biggest city on the West Bank seem to have already come to a provisional consensus: that the US election result has no real impact here because things could not possibly be worse.

The recently fired Israeli defense minister was allegedly claiming all the military objectives in Gaza were achieved, and that there’s no need for ignoring a hostage deal.

So I’m really failing to see how this isn’t already rock bottom.

13 straight months of giving Israel a free pass, Trump literally can’t improve the maxed out arm sales even if he tried.

And I can bet you my life saving Biden will do jack shit to stop Israel in his remaining 3 months even though he has nothing to lose.

  • The protocol isn’t even the issue, banks already use XRP.

It’s the fact that USD is propped up by Uncle Sam’s globalized monopoly which is kept in tip top shape by geopolitical power.

Everyone trades in USD because it’s the de facto currency and it’s stable because the government can abuse its power to keep it that way.

No one trusts the value of the Ruble, Yuan, Rupee, or even any other currency except for maybe the Euro. They all exist for internal use, which means its just gets compared in value to USD whenever you have to deal with anything external, which is all the time.

BRICS would only fly if a stable trade medium can rapidly prove its worth with market stress and trade requirement, otherwise everyone will just continue to use USD, hence why the USA doesn’t currently view it as much of a threat. And even if you could get countries on board, the US can hold on to a massive noose around everyone’s neck by refusing to trade in anything but USD, which would effectively shut you off from trading with a massive portion of US based/owned/partner companies.

  • This story reminds me a lot of a cornerstore Deli in the ghetto side of (capital city of southern state).

It is run by a Bengali dude with two Arab cooks and an African American local. The name is likely ripped from a famous NY sandwich shop, but no one actually knows that.

The Arabs make most of the sandwiches and the African American specializes in salads.

You’ll usually find the two Arabs reciting out loud while they cook, everyone seems to know everyone, and the Bengali is running the cash register and rejecting phony bills.

The outside looks like a crackhouse warzone but the inside is an oasis lol. Always busy with people buying food or cornerstore items.

Objectively the best place in the city to get a philly sub, but you’ll never see anyone mention it outside of the ghetto area.

Point being that if someone asked me what defines America, I’d probably point to that place.

  • I’m pretty sure the most accurate poll so far has been the nickelodeon kids poll because it’s technically a side channel info dump since kids would actually want to participate and they typically represent their parents’ views.

It was 52-48 in Harris’s favor.

The Kids Pick the President “Kids’ Vote” is an informal non-scientific poll, meant for entertainment purposes only.

Either that or they fudged the results to keep parents happy lmao

  • XFCE + Compiz

The unholy combination of accelerated 3D graphics and performance, all without the stupid drawbacks of wayland.

Runs much lighter than KDE even with all the 3D cube and windows stuff enabled.

Extremely customizable as well. XFCE already does a great job of UI/UX, it just lacks a compositor to add flare (xfwm4 has no animations, only some blur effects).
