Donating?

I was very surprised that Linus (T) didn’t knew about arch btw. And even didn’t know about Linux ISO joke… Come on… Linus is really only looking at emails.

Well… Not really. I watch it to the end. It still feels a bit off.

2000% true. We will slowly move to a surveillance state. And we end up in the same list like North-Korea, China, etc…

I know who… all kinds of people in different governments government organizations like in the Netherlands these people: https://organisaties.overheid.nl/46813/mr_drs_HP_Schreinemachers/
He is head of Justice and Security Ministry.

Well then we are all fked. I recommend then using a good internet connection to host your stuff behind it. I also recommend a good firewall.
A firewall that can block on geo location. Block on ASN level. And intrusion detection. And also use block lists like FireHOL level 1 to 4.
Of course configure fail2ban etc.
Again we really need to come up with alternatives now… I’m sick of how the current internet develops.

I understand the need for anti-bot or DDoS protection, but there are better and free options today. Like Anubis. So please, in the love of The Internet, move away from cloudflare. Ideally yesterday already.
Edit: or run your own decent firewall with geo blocks. FireHOL block lists. Intrusion detection.
Setting up fail2ban. . Etc. Etc.

I hope more websites will move away from cloudflare. I could not access 90% of the web anymore. This is insane if just 1 company goes down, the whole internet is dead. The internet is broken!

Do you like the setting to be opt-out so “all” will be the default (like now). Or should we make this combined frontpage an opt-in feature (default will stay “threads” like before)?

In my case I do also use “sub” feed. But I still want to see only threads by default. I do use microblogs as well, but if I want to see posts, I click on the Microblog menu.

I found it here as well in a local Amazon store luckily: https://www.amazon.nl/Cable-Matters-Unidirectionele-8K-kabeladapter-ondersteuning/dp/B08XFSLWQF
Thanks! I ordered it right away and will test it soon on my TV. I will also first check for firmware updates, since people saying to do first a firmware update.

You know. Never mind.

Its HDMI forum issue. Because AMD want to implement in their Linux drivers (which are open-source). But HDMI forum do not want them to become open source, see related issue: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/drm/amd/-/issues/1417
In fact, AMD already invested several months in fully testing and developing 4k 120Hz. Its possible, but the HDMI forum people are blocking this, because the HDMI forum has the latest saying… Its all about money this world. And the HDMI forum is evil.

Some may call it shady. I call it Linux ISOs. Damn capitalism.

No it’s called censorship.
Ow sorry to hear that 😥. That sucks indeed.
