If it’s a subscription, sure. But if I literally paid to own the game? What the fuck is the point?

Doubly so this is why I fear for the future of Linux dev if AI generated development is the future.

Open Source@lemmy.ml•LibreOffice 26.8 Doubles Down on No AI, Right After Collabora Welcomed ItEnglish
28·1 month agoOnce again reaffirming why LibreOffice clears OnlyOffice with its shitass “ai mode” nonsense you have to opt out of by default
Yeah it is getting annoying because I left to get away from enshittification yet it feels like it’s following us everywhere we go.
Well the original meme implied ai features weren’t being added to open source projects
So its a wee bit strange when I see AI added to OSS projects as well, and a LOT of Claude commits on git repos.
“The users want to use slop” isn’t the flex you think it is
I’m getting so tired of running, Windows ruined itself because of it, I don’t know wtf to do.

51·1 month agoThe door makes a world of difference
Don’t think that open source is immune to this, OnlyOffice has an AI button and many OSS devs are integrating Claude into their dev nowadays. It’s getting annoying.

21·1 month agoI’ll gladly judge someone not willing to leave the nazi pedo site just because they might lose a few bot followers, sorry. Look at Wukko, the guy behind Helium Browser. All he does is whine that people don’t like AI and act condescending towards people who raise issues about the project. It’s really bizarre the way that guy acts.
