Trump has proven that his style of campaign is effective. It’s now a solidified approach to the presidency.
This behavior will absolutely continue after Trump is gone.
…again.
I think you’re right. It may be hate vs. fear.
His appeal? Anger is a more powerful motivator than fear.
It absolutely still is, they just have the full trifecta now, so there’s no accountability. If SCOTUS makes an unjust ruling, it’s Congress’s job to challenge it. If Congress writes and votes for unjust legislation, it’s the President or SCOTUS’s job to challenge it.
The Constitution can’t be discarded by any branch, and requires 2/3 majority to amend through Congress. However, infringement could be outright ignored by those charged with checking the power of the other branches.
SCOTUS doesn’t write legislation, they interpret the Constitution to rule on existing cases. They couldn’t criminalize being gay on their own. If a new case on gay marriage were brought to SCOTUS, the most they could do is overturn US v. Windsor, removing federally recognized gay marriage and federally protected gay marriage benefits.
Congress, however, could potentially criminalize being gay with legislation, unless vetoed by the President or challenged during SCOTUS’s judicial review.
Looks like Elon is getting his money’s worth.
That won’t matter when the newly Republican controlled Congress expands and packs SCOTUS a la Project 2025.
Sorry. I should’ve tagged for sarcasm.
Trump will be sworn in on January 20th.
The Florida panhandle in the northeast gets the most hurricane activity by far. This is primarily due to the AMOC moving northeast from the Gulf of Mexico, creating a cooler pocket of turbulence on Florida’s east coast.
I guess the one good thing that will come from Trump’s acceleration of climate change will be when the AMOC breaks down, Mar-A-Lago will be unplayable soon after. Unfortunately, the UK will also lose most of its arable land, so it’s not really a great trade-off.
Fair point. I’m not sure myself, but it won’t be enough time if they’re anything like the general contractors I’ve used.

Who are your allies in this “revolution?” Do you honestly think one half of the nation can take on the other half and the US government all at once?
We are divided, the wealthy are conquering.
Three months of support is better than nothing, I guess. US global allied support really shouldn’t be determined by ignorant, racist, angry white men in low population areas.
I’m referring to denaturalizing existing citizens to be deported, which has been an unused congressional power since 1906.
True, for the time being. The fully Republican controlled Congress we have coming should have a much easier time than the split we have now.
What does he care? He’s not getting elected again. If he has a third term, it’ll be through systemic manipulation, not election.
Congress doesn’t need gubernatorial support to denaturalize. They can use the Naturalization Act of 1906 to change the requirements for qualifying for or maintaining naturalization, allowing for immediate revocation of citizenship and subsequent deportation.
”there must be strict compliance with all the congressionally imposed prerequisites to the acquisition of citizenship. Failure to comply with any of these conditions renders the certificate of citizenship ‘illegally procured,’ and naturalization that is unlawfully procured can be set aside.”
The current Congress is far less effective with split control than the fully Republican controlled Congress we have coming. The President can veto congressional legislation, but does not have the authority to redefine their power.
Trump wouldn’t be the one revoking citizenship. It would be Congress. He’ll just point the finger.
On hold? That’s very optimistic of you.
Trump repealed 112 environmental regulations in his first term, during a pandemic, without preparation, rolling us back to the Bush Administration in multiple categories.
I think we’re going to go backwards again, most likely at a faster rate than his last term.
