They often are partially recycled material. But recycled paper isn’t like recycling aluminum or steel. There are limits to how often and how much of the cycled material you can add back to make useful paper products.
But paper towels can and does make great compost as most gardeners know. And a properly run landfill is a compost pile. But you need to keep the nasty garbage out.
Yes you can assume all people don’t wash their hands correctly.
That’s a small amount of old airplanes. It’s not like there are 250 million 1947 Piper Cubs flying a 100,000+ Km a year.
Show me examples. And show that such examples haven’t degraded over time.
I understand that the state has a monopoly on violence. Violence IS the ultimate power to rule no matter the form of government. What you don’t understand is you can’t limit that power. Once granted, even on what might appear to be a limited basis, and it’s never limited for long, cannot be revoked. You can totally remove the power of the government to use violence and then hand that power to the populace-- but this is not a good idea. The only thing dumber than the government is the public.
The person I responded to stated plainly, they were for killing billionaires. They just didn’t want the government to do it. So he must be willing to pull the trigger himself. Which is a valid political stance. Even though I think it’s very misguided.
You have read into a plain statement something YOU believe. And if you don’t understand that, then I don’t know what to tell you either.
So you are a more hands on type. You are fine with the killing if it’s you as a a worker class pulling the trigger.
If they did, they wouldn’t need engineers.
But it’s more of a division of labor I think.
It is the job of the scientist to discover a new idea. It is the job of an engineer to kill enough people to make the idea just safe enough to turn loose on the public.
Remember kiddies, scientific principles are written in ink. Engineering principles are very often written in blood.

There was panic about raw milk looonnnggg before Covid. And I if you had read what I wrote, I did say pasteurization IS a good thing and I’m all for it. But it’s just not the evil most think it is.
You have owned a dairy herd?
You do understand that ALL dairy farms that sell milk are regularly tested for safety of the milk they sell. This is federally mandated. You miss the thresholds for bacteria counts, you will be dumping all your milk produced until it tests clean again. So those cows can’t be held in very dirty and vile conditions because your milk won’t pass those mandated tests. Slackers go broke and are out of business in short order.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for selling pasteurized milk in stores. The milk you buy in the store can be a week old before you see it on the shelf. But the unreasoning fear of raw milk is just plain ridiculous.
While I certainly don’t miss milking cows, I too miss the insanely rich texture and flavor of that fresh from the cow milk.
I grew up on a dairy farm and we drank raw milk every day. I can remember my sisters bringing the milk pitcher to the barn and dipping into the bulk tank of raw milk every morning or so. No one got sick and no one died. We even made butter at home from it after separating the cream. But pasteurization is a good thing for all you urbane urbanites out there. It increases the shelf life and safety for consumption. Plus it reduces number of small dairies near population centers that used to exist. Dairies can be 100+ miles away now. After all, you wouldn’t want to be exposed to the smell of cow shit right?
Raw milk does taste very different from store bought pasteurized milk, (whole milk ain’t whole). And like shelf stable milk, I doubt anyone of you would like drinking it.
Those are the lazy people. Lazy people refuse to learn new things. You don’t sound lazy.

I suspect it might be easier to teach high school students. You get them younger and they don’t know no better. Fewer things to unlearn. But the skill gaps can be eye opening for sure. I’m old as dirt. I got my feeble tech start in front of a printer terminal-- we didn’t have such things as monitors. I don’t think I saw my first DOS prompt until I was maybe 19 or 20. But we stilled played Oregon Trail and some Space Invader game. And we loved it!
And the first rule of KDE is “There is ALWAYS a widget!”
As a “boomer” myself, I do know the secret of the ‘right click: Save as’. Who do you think thought up the idea-- that’s right, a Boomer. And we taught Gen X about it. Not my fault they didn’t pass on the ancient and now arcane knowledge to future generations. But I suppose you need to know how to use a mouse before you can right click anything. Having attempted to teach 3D CAD to high school students, my first job was to show them how to use a mouse and why fingers and CAD don’t mix. And do it before we could actually move on to the subject matter they were supposed to be learning.
Still I do use an app for rotate my backgrounds and quotes. The app Variety works well with KDE Plasma with a large selection of repositories to choose from with beautiful backgrounds without taking up extra space on my drives. But what do I know, I’m just a boomer.
I do enjoy all the NASA photos and National Geographic backgrounds served up to me on a rotating basis without needing to take up local storage space to do so. But I ain’t running Windows either.
I’m all for it as long as it can make a conventional cut and a Humboldt cut. I’m assuming it can make plunge cuts.
I wash my hands for nearly a minute. But most of that time is spent trying to get those stupid no touch faucets to work.
