yes, my bad.

yes, my bad.

he was 5.

all the other things I said were to ensure that you have every capacity to vote how you truly prefer rather than being dictated to select one of a small group. If you currently don’t vote as a protest against the candidates, voting for “none of the above” accomplishes that while taking away the interpretation that you didn’t vote because you don’t care.

Make registration automatic and voting mandatory. Require ranked choice for every election of a person as well as a “none of the above” option. If a majority of voters pick “none of the above” as their #1 choice, hold a new election for that office with all new candidates.
edit: also make mail-in the standard for all votes.

The reason is simply that the Constitution says so since the beginning.

yeah I use webdav on my home NAS with just one phone and one laptop. probably going to self-host serve so I can do shared notes with the Baroness.

Joplin can sync between phone and laptop with a number of network storage options
https://joplinapp.org/help/apps/sync/
or you can self-host Joplin server.

uh … let that sink in?

I replaced Pixel launcher with Lawnchair. Very similar UX but let’s you do things like set the search bar to just open your default browser.

On this issue, on this vote, you can take your own pick of any one of the over 200 House Democratic representatives who voted to restrict Trump’s authority. Or not. If you want to choose to ignore the good things they do that’s on you.

could you not just get a data-only SIM?

My experience is that the more leftist voters will sit it out unless they have someone they want to vote for, while the more rightward voters are very excited to go and vote against someone. We saw in 2024 that the Uncommitted vote has power. More people should show up in the primaries like that. It tells the nominee and the campaign strategists that there are active voters in that district who’s votes need to be earned still. And it’s public record that they voted in the primary so those voters can expect to be canvased to give their feedback on the issues.

But, like, they do all believe in the same god. They’re just arguing over which prophets’ teachings were correct.

So 25 years after the first Xbox … they’re finally realizing the original promise?

Only 98% of the Democratic representatives voted differently than the Republicans! The whole lot are totally indistinguishable!

Cuellar just won his primary by 21 points.

House seats are required to be filled by a special election. Senate seats the state can do either an appointed replacement or a special election. Looks like Kentucky, North Dakota, Rhode Island, and Wisconsin went with the special election option.

I keep getting the vacated seat rules mixed up between the House and Senate.
well I was wrong so maybe you’re right!
