Very interesting. I wish the story told more.
South Korean police have arrested a CEO and five employees for manufacturing over 240,000 satellite receivers pre-loaded or later updated to include DDoS attack functionality at a purchaser’s request.
While neither company has been named, the two companies have been trading since 2017. In November 2018, the purchasing company made a special request to include DDoS functionality, with the South Korean manufacturer complying.
Allegedly, the functionality was needed to counter the attacks of a competing entity.
I’m really sick of how pervasive it is everywhere now. You can’t sell a product or provide a service nowadays without advertising some AI aspect. I wish that would go away.
I actually pay for a chatGPT premium account because personally I find a lot of value in it. I use it to help with writing, picture analyzing (what species of … is this), and a lot more. I just wish I could decide when I want AI involved and when I don’t.
Saw that yellow FOD from a distance I suspect.
Hit us with some ticker symbols.
He got gregnant and the rest is history.
Gotta cough to get off 🤷🏻♂️
I don’t know how it works under the hood, but from a user perspective it behaves like it’s in BFU. Biometrics disabled, phone code required.
Long press of power and volume up for a few seconds puts you into BFU.

Gave it a shot this weekend after seeing a piece about it on Friday. Generally I thought it was OK. The match making kind of sucks and it took me a number of “quick play” attempts until I was actually able to play.
Gameplay was fun, if not a bit frustrating. I got completely smoked by a couple of people and it felt like they had deep knowledge of the maps which was tough to counter.
All in all, for the price, it’s worth a pickup.
From the article:
If the officers are not uniformed or armed, it defeats the goal of helping community members overcome fear of interacting with officers as they are, Mattson said.
I get the logic, but it seems like there would be a better way to go about this. My primary concern would be if we’re doing this event and some kind of loud noise happens (like a gunshot/acorn). That seems like a recipe for disaster.
Yeah, no. The broad American public wouldn’t like that. Right or wrong, lots of people hate that word even when directed at someone who is being one.
I love the leak in the other room. Get ready to reset the counter folks!
I suspect the ultimate destination for these turtles was “being consumed” vs being a pet.
It’s going well
I found this particularly funny. It wasn’t like a funny accidental thing. Dude was trying to mate with the bird.
In September 2004, Walnut arrived at NZCBI’s Virginia campus, where scientists regularly breed cranes that have behavioral or physical limitations by using assisted reproduction techniques, including artificial insemination. By observing and mimicking how NZCBI’s male white-naped cranes interacted with their mates during breeding season, bird keeper Chris Crowe gained Walnut’s elusive trust. He pair-bonded with her by flapping his arms in a manner similar to the species’ unison dance, offered her nesting materials and brought her food. Once she was receptive to breeding, Crowe was able to use sperm collected from a male crane to artificially inseminate Walnut without the need for physical restraint
They had 8 chicks together.
It’s safe for your computer, but perhaps not for your eyes or brain. Lots of bright colors and bold claims.
