This whole website reads like trash.
Yes there are alot of things on the internet back then. When it was an closed system of trust. But like any system that opens up new people are more then willing to take advantage of trust. Ergo we are in the zero trust era where everyone needs to prove. They are not a malicious actor before they will be listened to.
Bullshit
I have a sub. I download their app. And the they have the gall to install anti piracy software?
It told me the Titanic was raised from the sea floor with diesel bags.
So I wouldn’t be surprised
Pretty sure this was how Kevin Bacon blew up a science facility

Do you host anything on your network to tne internet that allows anyone ssh access to your computers? More simply do you have port 22 open on your router or firewall? If you don’t or said no, then don’t worry about it.
I always liked Mikrotik. Not the most open of router but the most documented and configurable I’ve seen with a web, gui, ssh, or telnet I’ve seen
That is done in bulk however. Shipping one car is expensive
This is an deal breaker. I usually buy GM but now it looks like Ford now
*do not yet

Sounds like an class action lawsuit
Yes. I just feed it off the /60 my isp gives. Me and I just use my router to segregate the rest. Gotta love Mikrotik. It’s alot easier without dealing with NAT but the ip space calculations need a bit more though
People are looking for an easy access server for lemmy, they search for it and because of SEO the most popular servers are the ones they see.
Most instances are run on a rented vps. But no vps is going to take well to a constant ddos
This is the way.
Don’t join big instances. There should be no main instance. Join small instances. Spread the load
I use this. They’re very effective.
Theyre called MoCA adapters
