These work well. I have to power mine through the cigarette lighter, but newer cars should have USB power as standard.
That’s really annoying for everyone else though.
FYI - This article is from 2020.
I know they did some stuff semi-recently about the security of direct calls. So there is a high chance this is have changed since then.
You can configure that I think? (The every keystroke, not the stupidity)
Probably worth trying though?
We can concentrate energy way better than plants can, so the possibility is there. The problem is that as Climateworks is a private company, they are not releasing the data that might help others.
No.
People (mostly) use sites like this because of the threaded discussions.
It would also be hell to moderate.

And it’s not as obvious as it looks in the photo. It’s a fabric/carpeted texture in a dark recessed pocket (that may have stuff in it)
It’s in no way obvious, I had to look it up to find it in my parents Tesla, even then it took me a while to work out. Absolutely terrifying if you consider that those in the back of a Tesla are unlikely to be the owners who have read the manual.
My parents had no idea about it.
This is recent too (about a year old?)
The key part about it being in Iceland is their energy mix is really green as it’s all geothermal. So I get why they focused less on energy efficiency.
Would be good to see some analysis on the tech. They scaled up, does that mean it works, but needed to be bigger, or were they just doing it because they had the money and no other ideas?
I have to admit I didn’t read it through properly, but if it’s a problem with two CPUs then it’s probably a motherboard issue. (Or something g completely unrelated like ram)
Just RMA it (or the motherboard?)
Because then you have an expensive robot not being used, while still keeping the wage bill.
I think the idea is that there are other events with similar risk profiles, the papal election is just an example of one.
Yeh, not like they can’t work it out.
(That said, they have no idea about my house number because I can’t get them to understand the building I’m in has multiple houses in it…)
Makes sense in the dune world with all the sandstorms and worms too…
I can read way faster than I can type though. You still check it, but it’s pretty good as that kind of stuff once you have an example for it to follow.
Those are the easy time savings though, the safe easy stuff the developer doesn’t have to worry about anymore. (Giving them time do the gnarly stuff)
Would be interesting to see how they measured that metric. Are they tagging individual lines as AI generated?
What those lines are too would be interesting, AI as auto complete is less dangerous than complete generation, but probably also less useful.
They also said in their last Q&A that there isn’t a non oped monitor on the market that they can recommend for this use case ☹️
Having two could be useful - allows you to separate anything that virtual you wants to host from anything real life you wants to host.
(Without having two domains pointing at the same IP)
