He woke up today, saw the election results and was like “Nope, ain’t worth it no mo” and promptly shuffled off his mortal coil.
Honestly, can’t blame him. Take me with you!

And poured quickdry cement on it to make sure.
This is one genie that’s never going back into the bottle again. May our descendants, provided any live, have mercy on our memory.
All of Eu, starting with Poland and the Baltics.
Your kind words are appreciated. I will take them into consideration!
Something tells me this day will eventually live in greater infamy than 9/11.
Like in 2230, provided there is still something resembling the human race, “9/11” will be just another boring date to memorize together with shit like the Alamo w/e.
The day the republic fell, however, will be a lot more recognizable and memorable.
248 years. Empires “always” last around ~250 (Let’s ignore the Romans for now) so we’re exactly on time.
I’ve been struggling with my mental health for a long time and I need some type of “win” or “hope”, but I currently have none sadly.
I had a coworker I was somewhat close to and could vent to. She just got fired (budget cuts).
I mustered the courage to finally set up therapy again after many years, after a few very negative experiences with “caregivers”. First meeting was pretty awesome, second was cancelled by them due to illness. It happens, no judgment there. But they would call back before last weekend for a new appointment, and never did. I just got shadowdumped again, didn’t I? What the hell is so offputting about me that even people who get paid to help me won’t give me the light of day?
As for a future, that just got robbed from us. 20 years plus if you’re 40, more if you’re younger. We will never get those years back.
On top of that a myriad of mental and physical aillents, medical debt and no sight for any realistic kind of relief in the near future and… yeah, it’s really hard to keep finding reasons to keep going when life is really firing those melon-sized lemons at ya with the speed of a vulcan cannon.
I’ve accepted for a while now that “this is it”. Despite all our meming about our retirement being dying in the coming water wars… reality won’t be that far off.
As someone who always struggled to find reasons to live, I sure as hell can’t see any now. This world is a literal hell unless you’re rich. In that case it’s your little playground and we the npc’s who populate it.
I think I’d much rather save myself the trouble and suffering.

That would’ve been a gunfight. Here in Europe we practice melee only.
It’s going to impact an enormous amount of people who didn’t vote for him either though.
Sounds like Brexit to me.
Hahaha. No. In 13 years those prices will have quintupled, but I’m willing to bet your income won’t.
Anyone who cannot afford a modest home today, will simply never be able to unless they inherit, win a lottery or land a ridiculously well paying job.
Saving up 5 years for a down payment? The price goes up faster than you can save. You could live like a hermit and eat nothing but ramen and still need years upon years only to even be considered for a loan.
No, people need to understand what has been stolen from them and rise up against it. Keeping the current system afloat will never bring any change, and what do they have to lose?
I feel sorry for the poor fuckers. They likely can’t even make use of the defection process due to the language barrier. How many NK’s do you think understand Russian or Ukrainian?
Let’s hope they don’t have to suffer long. They won’t make a dent in UA’s defenses though.
100 dollars? How insulting.
The price is 2 billion. Just ask Jared.
Call me a hippy but I’ve always had a problem with the very concept of a judge. As in, someone who gets paid (royally!) just to, well judge people. As we all know the law is anything but impartial, so my take was always that, say, the “wrong” type of people gravitate towards these posts. Keep this up for a few decades and you have a thorougly corrupt legal system (not remotely resembling a “justice” system).
It’s not as if I have any workable alternatives, but still the very concept feels wrong to me somehow.
One who still stands a chance of actually winning. It’s fairly impossible to grasp looking from the outside in.
That’s what it means to live in a “post-truth” world. There are essentially two overlapping but competing worldviews each with their own “reality”. Which is fucking sad. When I was young I imagined the internet being what would eventually connect us all and truly inform everyone. Instead, we got echo chambers festering into actual terrorism.
Looks at the heap of empty cans on the desk
Wabi-Sabi it is!
