2·16 days agoThe third party joycons are essentially necessary because of how easily they break and get unplayable amounts of stick drift. I believe that I went through 3 sets of them (including the originals) in less than 3 years.

2·16 days agoYeah, I think that the Series S not having a disc drive is really bad. I’ll probably want to replay most of the games I currently own in the future, but it’d be nice to have the option to resell the ones I won’t.

2·16 days agoI’d argue that they’ve gotten even easier to use, at least with Xboxes. The 360-ONE UI is dumbed down even further.

101·16 days agoIt’s a bit cheaper than pcs with similar performance, I believe. Some people have enough for a console, but not a decent pc. I’ve never had to buy a pc, so I’m not certain, but I think I’ve heard that before.

24·17 days agoIt’s a bellwether trial. They didn’t immediately go to a class action. Not a lawyer, but I think they probably want to see if a single case works before creating a massive one.

Not The Onion@lemmy.world•Suspect with bong built into his car dashboard is arrested for the 98th time after high speed chase
2·17 days agoIt should be one’s own morality, yes. But I find it rather obvious that many individuals lack sufficient morality to act in the interest of others. Laws, and the punishments for breaking those laws, are supposedly meant to force the actions of the immoral to align with that of the moral as far as public safety is concerned. Of course, this is only true when the laws are just, but the prevention of people driving while high is a worthwhile goal, and it is reasonable to punish those that partake in methamphetamines while operating a large hunk of metal that can easily kill people.

3·17 days agoIn the case of this gentleman, I suppose not. However, I believe that driving after consuming drugs that impede your ability to drive should have a punishment of some kind. It is a matter of public safety. It’s irresponsible to drink and drive, it’s irresponsible to be on heroin while driving.

171·18 days agoMaybe I’m just insane, but I think that laws making it illegal to be on meth while driving are reasonable. That’s just me though.

Not The Onion@lemmy.world•Suspect with bong built into his car dashboard is arrested for the 98th time after high speed chase
191·18 days agoExtremely unresponsible to be driving under the influence of hard drugs. If someone is going to be smoking meth and fentanyl, they should at least have the reason to not be driving.

17·1 month agoYeah, think this has been established. The more details we get from the kidnappees, the better, at least in my opinion. Has anyone from the press been allowed in with cameras to take any pictures? That’d probably (well, probably not, now that I think about it) shock the world into doing something about it.

5·1 month agoThey typically are. If there were more politicians with spines, we wouldn’t be in any of these situations, and yes, I do mean any of them. And as we all know, there’s a LOT.
We don’t have the fuel for hundreds of thousands of rocket launches. We also don’t have any reason for hundreds of thousands of people to have rockets. Hell, we don’t even have that moon colony built.
