I hope we can build one that can use hydrogen fusion like the sun; such an energy source would make an excellent power source, even if small

Not enough guns, and where are the runways?
No Mans Sky. It used to suck, but now I find it quite fun
That number almost certainly includes my state WA, with its 8.5 months of rain, and only 3 and a half nice months in which there are just 4-7 summer days when an AC would really be needed. While we usually wear raincoats for Christmas instead of snowcoats, cold snaps are getting more and more severe and common, and on some years these days we have a difference of up to 80 degrees between the coldest day (usually in February) and the hottest (usually in July).
Long-term I think corporate tech as we know it is screwed. Their explosive growth from the pandemic making everyone terminally online is drying up as more and more people go back to touching grass, so now the bill’s coming due and it’s only a matter of time now before Unreal also does something stupid we can’t even imagine for a quick buck
“In machine gunning one’s foot”
All the cool companies are doing it, tech companies eating tide pods for fear of death is a based sigma gigachad (and all the other words zoomers use) move now!

I hear some horny teens have tried to use switch joycons for that because of how small and thin they are
Because Fandom has ruined the interface, and most people just watch YouTube tutorials
Yeah, discs are still a thing for Xbox and PS5, steam decks just download these really big folders for each game’s files to your SD card like our PCs do and the Switch has its tiny cartridges you keep in a little box in your carrying case like previous nintendo handhelds.
This controller looks like a bikini top
The trees can’t be harmed if the Lorax is armed
This is why I always look for cartridge-based Switch ports of games I play, so they’ll be mine long after the online play ceases, they can no longer be legally purchased and my current device reaches the end of its product life. It also helps that game cards last longer than optical discs
And they know precisely what’s at stake, and that in any case continuing to use an engine now run by dangerous morons intent on destroying it for a quick buck will not be an option, as we all know Unity will strive for its stated goal of screwing them over like this, be it suddenly and shamelessly like they’re hoping to do or by slowly boiling the frog over many years. And then those devs would lose everything.
The devs can’t afford to fold. The other forum’s powermods folded because they not only could’ve afforded to, but also because upon realizing just how expendable they were, they didn’t want to risk losing the source of their god complex. That, and given that site’s users’ history of bringing feathers to knife fights their failure to enact the change they wanted was hardly surprising.
Sorry for the triple post, lag got me (I accidentally just posted the same comment 3 times within mere milliseconds of each other)
Ah yes, the horny college kids/50-yo divorcees with a camera and way too much free time

The Moon’s daytime is half a month long and can reach 120 C so we’d need some pretty powerful heat shielding. And there’s no ozone layer to protect the electronics from radiation, and I’m pretty sure the Moon orbits outside of Earth’s magnetosphere. And the shielding used for such a project could also be used to fix climate change here (and terraform Venus later) with orbital parasols. And whatever unimaginable technology we’d need for such an ambitious project may as well be used to run a grid of electromagnets and power lines across Mars to give it a magnetic field
