It would be a lot easier to compete with though, since Google couldn’t treat it as a loss leader that still bring them in search revenue by default.

At least the pumpkins are compostable.
Not sure if the UK is similar to where I lived, but they were the worst “cloud” provider I’ve ever used. Want to shut down the instance you had to recreate it with a different OS? Good luck getting it back online as they are out of capacity. Also, if you accidentally deleted one of the default network components it was impossible to recreate it without incurring a cost kind of going against anything you learned about cloud computing and “infrastructure as code”. It was a glorified GUI.
Edit: I’m just glad my current employer does not use anything oracle as their support is also famously bad.
But then Verizon would get some of that money. The pile of shit company that programmed a physical key on your phone next to the scroll wheel to bill you 1.99 a month for the privilege of using 0.00001 MB of data if you accidentally clicked it during the month and it opened their shit “get it now” store. Literally the company that pushed for hostile design back in the 2000s. Fuck them. Fuck Bank of America , Wells Fargo and Comcast. They lost a customer for my entire life due to their shit business practices.
Even if I don’t disagree games on consoles are better optimized, anti-consumer tactics they employ have made sure I will avoid them in the same way I’ve started to avoid Microsoft and Google products. It’s not about console vs PC, it’s about consumer media rights for me.
That’s just a train/bus with extra steps and far more risk. Cities with cars as the main mode of transport are still ugly places to live.
Forgot: “Nintendo is suing all of them!”
I was wondering how all those Sony games worked on GOG.
I someone that has not played halo before I was wondering if the beer belly energy was supposed to be part of the character.
That sounds more like someone that would deffend the cyber truck I suppose.
Or that with 2 of the same polarity you’d get some 😋🍑
Replacement electric toothbrush heads run on the same scheme as disposable razors with high margins and vendor lock in. I’ve also seen vendors (Phillips) change the design to force you to buy another base station/brush.
This could only lead to a hostile work environment. The process and checks in it is what needs to be questioned. If it came out it was an executive bypassing process, then yes. Otherwise the process can be updated and improved. It also needs to be publicly disclosed why it happened given the nature of the claims.
Not sure about her record, but the entry on Wikipedia says her mom works/worked at UNAM (one of the most famous Mexican universities). She was hired there and received some awards. Hard to say, but it has the smell of nepotism at the very least.
Her family mostly seems to associate with middle class directors, politicians and faculty. Definitely more privileged than the average Mexican, not much different than a US president. I’m guessing the policies will be what you’d expect with maybe a spin for the plebeians to think she’s on their side (again, much like the US).
I recall also reading about people in Australia and some other places with diets consisting of harder food for developing babies/toodlers having better jaw/teeth ratios and straighter teeth despite no regular access to a dentist, which kind of corroborates the findings.
It’s shit for automating things and especially useless outside the Apple ecosystem, but it does offer the option to turn off sharing.
Apple ID -> Find My -> Share My Location
Since it’s closed source it’s possible they still capture the location and I would t trust it, but in practice anyone that you’ve allowed to see your location (for an hour, day, while on-route) gets a “location unknown” on their app of the toggle is off.
That takes some money and effort though. Not something these places deserve.
At the hardware level yes, software, yes as long as you don’t mind repaying for something you bought previously (potentially) and also don’t mind it being unavailable a few years later.
