I mean, it is long stretches of night flying (generally staring into bright NVGs for extra eye strain) where they have to stay on edge for hours at a time. And it has the same culture of special forces where “it is a privilege to do this and only the best can earn it” which pushes people to push themselves even further.
So… think about that when you hear about helicopters and planes mysteriously crashing into each other or failing on missions.
They already do for special forces.
