Work in QA. Become the User
You’ll need 6255 degrees and 7625 years of experience to get an entry level QA job. I’ve tried so much and got nothing. Resorted to a programmer spot and got it first try. Fuck QA. Lol
“I’d rather have you build shitty features than test them”
Feels like you need that much experience for any tech job. How I’d love a nice WFH position.
I do work from home. I’ve suffered for years doing labrous work until I got this job about 1.5 years ago. I’m never going anywhere. I’m literally retiring at this company. 😂 They told us we are never going back into the office. They’ve even sold about 90% of their offices, and they had plenty of them. They left a couple for
thisthose whose job requires them to be in office and also those who choose to be in. I’ve never been to the office. I’m cool at home.Sounds like a dream. I was never able to figure programming out in any real capacity and at this point it feels like I’d need to be a self taught professional with several projects under my github belt just to meet criteria.
It is a dream. I love being home. I was never a programmer myself. Just kept learning on my own. I never landed a programming job ever. I had to go into the service desk at a company, and went into programs from within. If it weren’t for my company, I would have never gotten a programmer job. You just need to get your foot in the door in any IT position then move up from there.
If it makes you feel better, I work in QA, and I’m a union organizer. If I have anything to say about it, QA will need a lot more people at my company
Not where I work. There was an entry level opening the other day, and I think a thousand people applied for it. lol
I feel this deeply
I switched to purchasing/receipting and it was absolutely the right call. I love working with technology. I hate how people treat you when you work with technology.
