Not Chinese, but yes, every modern car has a data only cellular connection of some sort. They can easily afford it because they’re selling your data to anyone who will buy it.

Not only that, they’re double dipping! You’re paying $30/month for bullshit features like remote start or temp controls, meanwhile they also make money on your data!!
