This is how these community decompiled games should be treated.
Oh shit, I had forgotten all about this game. Step On It is pretty clever naming.
Definitely one of the more unique racing games out there. Even if it looks like a Mariokart copy, it actually plays like a real time deck builder game. A lot of untapped potential there.

Yeah and you’re gonna see a lot more of this, AI is insanely good at reverse engineering. Literally this week I have seen multiple recomps and ports of games like Skate 3, some COD games and so on. We as individuals now have the power to fight back against IP rights and corpos and save abandonware on ‘finished’ products.
Somehow, people are viewing this as a bad thing.
I guess if you’re doing it as a big middle finger to copyright anyway, it’s fine. It’s when they start calling it “open source” because they published some source code that I have a problem with it, because decompiling doesn’t magically make it stop being proprietary or infringement.

We’re supposed to hate any and all things AI now, despite machine learning having been a huge boon to humanity but one aspect of it all (genAI) ruined it. Hop on the hate train, choo-choo!
Not even that. “Abuse of genAI” is what ruined it. The tech itself is great.
