Yep! In my own history, sometimes they just believe you without further explicit proof, but yeah, they do often ask for some kind of proof and usually that is just basically screenshots like this. Might take em a while to process it in the ‘escalated support’ tier, or what not, but yeah it generally does work.
Call you bank/credit card provider, get a human being on the other end, and calmly tell them any further payments to Xfinity are unauthorized/fraud.
This is the most effective way to cancel a service and one of the primary reasons I keep carrying a credit card
They’ll need some sort of proof that you tried to cancel the “appropriate” way. The screenshot in OP’s post should suffice. Always have for me.
