Today’s game is Project Zomboid. It was just me and my friend who plays Cable on today. Our plan was originally too just finish working on the back end of the log wall we were building, but jerry accidentally smashed a window and got a laceration. He got it cleaned up, but he was in immense pain.
I went to go find painkillers, and that’s when i found out we didn’t have any… So i took Jerry around the Neighborhood and found this Hospital. I ransacked it a bit and even found a van key even to let me haul stuff home. I got more than enough medical supplies to last me a while. I even stocked up on stuff for bullet wounds in case we have any mishaps messing around.

While Jerry was searching, Cable made dinner, which was ready when Jerry got home. Cable doesn’t usually handle cooking because usually he’ll start a fire. Surprisingly this time though he didn’t. The Pasta even didn’t make Jerry depressed, which is a new record.

For the entire next hour or so, we spent it renovating a room into a medical room. We laid down tile, and i put up a metal cabinet to keep all out supplies in. Then i had to go get planks to put together a bed.

When i went to gather planks for the bed i had found out one of my Chickens had died, it was the chick. I did the only thing i really thought of and buried it. It was a chick so it’s not like it could really feed us, and it had been dead for a while and i hadn’t noticed.
After that i went and finished the bed and stopped playing for the day. I didn’t want to play too much without our other players after all.
This game is an incredible Story Generator, like Dwarf Fortress, Rimworld, and Kenshi. It’s very easy to lose hours watching tragedies and triumphs play out
I love keeping a journal for my singleplayer characters. I don’t usually do so for multiplayer because i always play the same character and keeping a journal feels a little out of character for them. Light roleplay is always a yes though
I know nothing about Project Zomboid and I love reading your descriptions of it and how it sounds like it’s actually you and your friends in this world getting hurt by broken glass and depressed by bad pasta.
My friend likes to sum it up as “The Sims 1 meets a Zombie game”. I grew up watching The Walking Dead, so it’s a bit like roleplaying my own series. The game does a good job of making you feel immersed in it too though, which is impressive with it’s limited graphics
You might also find Cataclysm to be a fun game to spectate.
Poor chick. 😢
I was actually kind of sad about it :(
