It’s the worst. Even on the state level. People in the state I’m from used to have a positive stereotype about them, so that I felt good about sharing where I grew up in conversation.

That state turned red and they’ve been legislating against anyone who isn’t a white, straight, rich person. If people find out where I’m from, I have to do extra work to make sure people don’t assume I’m a hateful idiot.

So that’s what it’s like, but on the international level now. I wish I had dual citizenship so I could at least travel internationally with a different passport (or relocate altogether). I know Americans have had a reputation of being rude or entitled abroad, but that’s far better than people assuming I’m a Trump-loving, delusional, fascist.

Trump, that’s not how it works.

Just because you ordered Vance to assassinate that old man doesn’t mean you’re the Pope. Vance, as his slayer, is the Pope now, so you have to kill Vance.

He’s distracting from the fact that he called for all Democrats to be removed from Congress. It’s a smokescreen bc of how ludicrous it is.

Why should the call for removal not be a smokescreen?

What is the thing that the upper class does that doesn’t receive any attention but should make us worried?

Trump has said that although he was “confirmed at a Presbyterian church as a child, I now consider myself to be a non-denominational Christian.”

Uhhhh…he’s not even Catholic? That’s kinda a prerequisite for THE LEADER OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH!

He’s completely trolling, right? I mean it’s gotta be cover for something happening that he wants to distract people from. He can’t be that stupid that to think he can actually be Pope…can he?

What did it say that the president of the USA is non-stop pulling attention seeking stunts like your crazy aunt on Facebook? Guess it must be lonely being surrounded by sycophants.

Nah, he is just gaslighting overwhelming everyone. Tons of insane and insulting shit to occupy the media and people, so that he can pull all the stunts he he wants. Drowning everything in noise so that no one knows what to focus on anymore.

Don’t get me wrong, he is batshit insane bud there is a certain method to his madness.

Edit: Looks like I was using ‘gaslighting’ incorrectly.

It’s a terrifying mix of a Gish gallop (a stampede of lies and half truths, delivered so fast they can’t be countered) and razzle dazzle (camouflage via a swarm of irrelevant or counter intuitive points).

It’s terrifyingly effective, and very difficult to counter.

Would be much easier to counter if there was a functional system of checks and balances or a well-educated population that’d hold their leaders accountable, but here we are.

Dude REALLY wants to be the anti-Christ, and the “Christians” that put him in office want that too. They think they’ll be rewarded for putting their fellow humans(& the planet) through hell, and bringing on the end-of-days sooner, rather than later.

The Bible says there will be many antichrists. Anyone who contradicts Jesus’ teachings, or misrepresents or misunderstands are antichrists. That would include misogynistic apostles. (1 John 2:18)

So, Nathaniel Hawthorne has been on my mind, recently (oooh, illuminati, Freemason! They used to have some measure of honor, you can search up the Freemason symbology of pauper Mozart’s The Magic Flute, Manly Hall and Lon Duquette do excellent justice to the topic), he wrote Young Goodman Brown for reasons (although being guilty himself of not understanding indigenous American culture, but ignorance of the time, we all are guilty).

The Bible is more of less a study in human error and human potential. Of course they have caught on to the concept of narcissistic idiots in power being a bad thing. I’m sure there were plenty of those back in the day and plenty who were far worse than trump.

Hell, we have leaders right now in the world who are worse than trump and they have all been in power for decades. The biggest difference is that most of them are smarter and more cunning than trump, who is an 80 year old toddler that wants attention all the time.

If Obama had made a stupid meme dressed as the pope, “Christians” would have burned the White House to the ground, it would have literally started a war. Its absolutely INSANE to me how much this man gets away with. He’s right, you really can do anything when you’re rich.

It’s really as simple as Trump hating the right people. He hates the same people that his voters hate and because of that he can get away with almost anything. Trump voters have been waiting a long time for a president that will openly and unapologetically spew hatred. They ignore the fact he is a narcissistic lying idiot who does not stand for almost anything religious people claim they care about.

I think with Biden they would have been pissed and took to the internet and Fox News about it, but the pure hatered for Obama was something that people are very easily forgetting these days. People legitimately believed he was the Anti-Christ and a Muslim. They would have actually rioted in the streets.

Sure I get that loads of people really hated Obama for lots of reasons. I sincerely don’t think this is a racial thing though: it’s a tribal thing, us vs them. Republicans are perceived as being on the side of Christianity (us) so they are given a lot more leeway in these matters, where Democrats (them) are the enemy of Christianity and every slight however small must be countered in the strongest possible terms (see: ‘the war on Christmas’ and other stupid shit.)

Would the outrage have been greater if it was Obama instead of Biden? Absolutely, I’m not questioning that at all. I’m just saying don’t think there wouldn’t be outrage against Biden just because he’s not black.

I definitely think there would’ve been more outrage if it was Obama vs Biden, but this is a tribal thing, Democrats are ‘them’ and any perceived slight by ‘them’ must be countered in the strongest possible terms, so there would still have been plenty of outrage at Biden too.
