Kelley Blue Book says Trump’s tariffs could raise the U.S. price of the average new car – already approaching $49,000 – by $3,000 or more. The price of some full-size pickup trucks could shoot up by $10,000.
All American brands build cars outside of the US. It’s typically the cheaper models that are made elsewhere.
Ford built the Edge in Canada, dodge built the charger and challenger in Canada, Chevy built some Silverado’s there. Chevy and dodge both built some of their trucks in Mexico too. Shit some Chevy models are made in china and shipped back to the US.
There’s an easy way to tell what country a car is made in. If the vin starts with 1 4 5 and sometimes 7 it’s made on the US. If it’s 2 it’s made in Canada. If it’s 3 it’s Mexico. Y is china I believe.
