The people who can verify their identity will be less willing to share their opinion on certain topics once they know they aren’t anonymous. I’m certain this is one of the goals. The reactions to political news, world events, law proposals and atrocities will be far more muted and it will be easier to control the population.

The problem is that Reddit NSFW is an extremely broad category that doesn’t only include porn. So many posts and memes are tagged with it. Realizing that I’m now seeing a censored, inauthentic version of Reddit made me delete the app.

As an internet user, you have to accept that at some point you’ll lose access to online services you’ve been using if you don’t become the kind of mouthbreather who verifies their identity.
