The sugar laden crap I get them hooked on also causes diabetes which is why I also own the diabetes medication pharmaceutical where these kids will buy their drugs as diabetic adults.

Entertainers, actors and performers are not sources of information

They are sources of endless mindless entertainment

Anyone who relies on them for information is severely deluded or will eventually become deluded

If you want actual information … listen to journalists, academics and researchers who specialize in the subject or areas of information you are searching for.

If you are unwilling to find the information from reliable sources yourself … there will always be an entertainer ready to serve you a steady stream of disinformation, misinformation, non-information and complete nonsense

I’m no scientist or researcher … but the logic tracks with me.

I have many gay/bi/questioning/anything/nothing/something friends and relatives. The majority of all them are very liberal minded in their politics. There are outliers but not many.

The opposite is also true … I have a lot of straight people in my family and they are more easily prone to follow conservative and even far right rhetoric … this one is weird because I’m Indigenous Canadian and you’d think we would all be a left leaning bunch but we are not.

“We” is a relative term when I use it here … I don’t mean specifically you … or me … I mean the majority of people everywhere in the world who actively don’t do anything as a collective to stop all this insanity and just go about perpetuating the system that is slowly destroying all of us.

I have a friend who is a career nurse and has dealt with a lot of elderly people.

She explained that it has to do with testosterone levels affecting the brain.

As young men, their levels are through the roof and it drives them crazy and they sexualize everything and everyone around them all the time. Sexualize to the point where it will make you wonder if they are gay or not because they constantly want to associate and fraternize with other men all the time.

By middle age, they temper their habits and are easier to deal with and their politics are less extreme but still conservative.

After a certain age and on their way to being elderly … they really soften up on many things as the testosterone levels start to decrease a lot.

By the time they are old feeble and very old in age, their levels are very low and they turn into some of the kindest most humble people imaginable. She pointed out several people in my family and hers that were once almost brutish conservative assholes in their 30s and 40s who turned into meek kindly old men in their 70s.

I should know because I’m a man and I know how easily it was to fall into the whole masculine culture in my teens, 20s and 30s … I’m middle aged now and I really don’t care about all that any more … and judging from what I’ve seen in my family, I’ll probably be a very quiet old man who will absolutely not care about any politics in my old age.

The damage we are creating will take thousands or millions of years to undo … so the trajectory of problems is bad right now, will get worse in the next few decades and stay that way for a few centuries. That is if we don’t figure out ways to make things even more worse.

And if we do get to the point of nuclear war and the inevitable nuclear holocaust after, it will take us a century to survive that, then centuries more to recover from the damage it will cause.

I do have hope that as imaginative and creative beings that we are, we may figure out ways to survive through all that.

However, I am also realistic and know how ignorant and depraved we can become in the face of disaster and our own mortality.

We’ve survived natural disasters in the past that were no fault of our own.

We don’t know if we can survive disasters of our own making.

It’s ironic when you think about human history … at one point in human development, there was a population bottleneck where there were only a few thousand individuals that we are all descended from. It basically means that we owe our present world to the survival of a few thousand people.

Now it seems our species will die out because of the greed of a small percentage of our population.

We came into being because of a few … and we will die out because of a few.

Now I gotta rearrange my Google Calendar … again!

As a Canadian, I will always find that absolutely unbelievable about American private health care … when someone or a family is at their lowest and during the most terrible times of their lives and health care people go up to them and say … ‘We’re sorry for your suffering and your loss … but here’s the medical bill you owe money on’

Unfortunately, Hegemon services have been privatized and it will now cost $1 trillion dollars to fix your hegemon.
