  • Half of the UK parliament is chosen by the monarch.

    No.

The other half is chosen through the problematic and undemocratic first past the post voting system.

    Yes.

    UK streets have CCTV everywhere.

It’s not the CCTV you want to worry about. The CCTV is overwritten regularly and typically goes nowhere. It’s the internet-connected stuff you wanted to worry about, and the blanket surveillance by Google and meta. Carrying a smartphone and worrying about CCTV while you post pictures of yourself where LLMs can scrape them is utterly irrational.

It’s time for people to admit to themselves that the UK, especially England, is a dictatorship.

No, just a half-police state. But at least you tend not to get murdered by the police for being black in charge of a vehicle in the UK, and the healthcare is free.

This, though, this is AWFUL and they went OUT OF THEIR WAY to deny these people justice. If you deny the defendants the right to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, you have denied them justice.

  • Your 40% depends a lot on how you ask the questions and the field of these questions.

Dude, they fail that exam with even worse error rates than I see!

When you can verify it, it’s OFTEN and REGULARLY wrong. It’s stupid to trust if for anything you can’t personally verify.

The designed purpose of LLMs is to respond to human interaction, not to be correct. They are the showoff who pretends he can answer every question. They are the confident drunkard at the bar who will tell you anything that pops into their head. Intelligent, knowledgeable people say “I don’t know” when they don’t know. LLMs don’t do that. Ever. Trouble is, they don’t “know” anything. They’re a chatbot from the bottom up. Chatbot through and through. It’s their fundamental nature.

Yes there was knowledge and deep understanding in their training data. Also, I ate chicken curry for tea. However, I am not a chicken, I do not cluck, I haven’t started eating worms, I cannot produce any chicken, and my poop is not chicken either. My poop smells faintly of curry. So it is with LLMs and the knowledge and understanding in their training data.

  • Ah, Liz Truss, an awful, awful prime minister, who was a Thatcher wannabe (which shows how bad her motivations were), racist, stupid, crashed the economy, blamed the chancellor she talked into doing it, sacking him for implementing her plan rather than for the tax avoidance he should have been sacked for, weak but talked tough. I was thinking she was the worst prime minister we’d had in a while, but the Conservative Party really has done a number on the country with the awful prime ministers it has foist upon us.

The country elected “stability and prosperity” with David Cameron instead of “chaos with Ed Milliband” and we got the Brexit referendum, endless turmoil, economic calamity, and frankly Ed Milliband would have been a far better prime minister than anyone we’ve had since.

Next, having promised to see the result of the referendum through either was, Cameron promptly resigned, leaving us with Teresa May, and whilst she had a sense of duty and fairness, she considered it her duty to try to find a compromise position between remainers and brexiteers, but the brexiteers wanted nothing and chaos and disruption and no compromise, and trying to satisfy them by moving in their direction was not just a fool’s errand, it was an idiot’s cause. She also thought that it was fair to write “immigrants go home” on the side of vans to drive through London, so her sense of duty and fairness didn’t get us anything good.

After that we got Boris “moral compasses are for weak people” Johnson. It’s not so much that he was a liar, it’s that truth or falsehood were completely irrelevant to him. He partied while banning parties and while the Queen mourned in isolation 2 metres from her family, and that did for him in the end.

Then we had useless car crash Liz Truss, and finally Rishi “tech bro” Sunak, who wasn’t all that great either.

Unfortunately they’ve now got Kemi Badenoch, who is as stupid as Truss, but is allowed to be more racist because she’s from an ethnic minority, and of course she’s allowed to be misogynistic because she’s a woman, but actually all the racists and misogynists have deserted the Conservatives for the Nigel Farage Shit Show because she’s a black woman and he’s a white man. When will they ever learn?

Unfortunately, Labour have Keir “personality free zone” Starmer as prime minister, and whilst they’ve done some good stuff for workers rights and tenants, they’ve done it painfully slowly and are being beastly to the immigrants, so no one likes them much any more.

If they could replace him with someone with a bit of likeable personality and the common touch, who would actually make things better for ordinary people, build a vast amount of good-looking council housing, increase minimum wage, tax billionaires and multinationals, train, recruit and retain more doctors and nurses, bring social care under the nhs and fund it properly, invest in renewables to bring energy prices down, nationalise water again (leaving the debt firmly on the profiteering shareholders door - you leave with nothing, you vultures), then people can start to feel a bit more positive, and nobody needs to be deported for having the wrong colour skin.

  • That’s what I thought, so I investigated.

The base of the log can be accounted for by a constant scale factor, because, for example, if n is the number of bison,

    log10(n)
    = log10(e^ln(n))
    = ln(n) log10(e) and log10(e) is a constant.
This change of base is a linear scale on the logs.

Hence we can just take log 10 of the numbers of bison, and scale the answer by a constant factor which is log10(correct base), getting
    7.778, 2.477 and 4.477
Scale that by about 2 = log10(100) to match the 5 bison in the middle pictogram, and there should be
    16, 5, 9 bison on a logarithmic scale.

The diagram is also wrong if it’s logarithmic.
