I got excited for a sec. I thought there was a new drug available but then I looked it up and it’s just vyvanse in Europe… dang it.

I had to stop taking vyvanse for just that reason. A little too long acting.

Yeah this is the part about all this AGI talk and AI going rogue, it requires a prompt. It responds to an input. These agentic systems have powerful tools that can do other things then spit out text but it’s always responding to a prompt. It may be in a loop responding to its own prompt but it’s still a prompt. And what it spits out is never really anything new. It’s some derivation of what it’s ingested. Actual human intelligence works differently. We do come up with new ideas, new thoughts. So I’ve often thought these LLMs are a dead end to AGI.

Yeah … 5.9944mm. That a difference of 0.0056mm or 5.6 µm. A human blood cell is 8 µm.

I’m assuming this is daisy chained. In a power strip there are not cables between the plugs that can be unplugged. Nor are there switches on each individual plug that can be accidentally flipped off. Any extra component is a failure mode. If it gets unplugged it loses power just the same as any failure. Now don’t get me wrong, I think this design is clean, expandable, and offers some neat features over a plain power strip, but to suggest there aren’t extra risks associated with this design is a bit short sighted.

What would be nice is if this very illegal offer was actually investigated and prosecuted.

After I thought about this for a minute it’s not much different then:

• “Elect us and we’ll cut your taxes by $5,000.”
• “Vote for us and we’ll cancel $10,000 in student debt.”
• “Give us Congress and we’ll increase Social Security benefits.”

But I guess coming from him everything seems illegal and grifty.

Those are all true. I’d just never expect them to do stuff like this is all.

That’s essentially the question getting asked. I don’t live there but honestly I think id always answer no, because I don’t trust politicians at all so no to the rewriting the state constitution.

I’m going to propose an alternative theory. I think the real reason is because they are childish, immature trolls and revel in causing other people’s misery. Although these two theories are not mutually exclusive.

That “potential” word here is very…. hopeful? Polyannaish? Aspirational? Optimistic? Yeah optimistic is the word I’m looking for here.
